Experiencing difficulties integrating with your Shopify store? Here are some key things to check and practical solutions to resolve any integration issues:
Export Is Not Working
When an export is not working for Shopify please check the following:
- URL is ending with myshopify.com. For example: youstorename.myshopify.com

Products Not Showing Up On My Store
In case no categories are showing up in the Shopify Settings Page, this can lead to products not showing up on the Shopify site after export. These might be the reasons why the Shopify categories are not showing up:
- URL is incorrect (does not have the myshopify.com at the end)
- API key, token, or password are incorrect
- Store is inactive
- All categories are set as automated collections on Shopify
To fix the problem, validate 1 through 4. If you wish to keep the collections as automated on Shopify, we advise you to look into the tags assigned to each of the collections on Shopify so the tags will capture the product titles.
5. Not all HomeRoots categories were mapped to the store's Shopify Collections. The example below shows that not all categories were mapped.
Exporting a specific set of items to your Shopify store:
1. Search for specific OCID or navigate through the pages and select items you want to export
2. Hit the "Transfer Selected" button
Export Seeds to your Shopify Store
1. Learn more about creating seeds at Create Seeds Knowledge base
2. Hit Export on the Seed you wish to transfer to your Shopify Store.
Can't find certain OCIDs in the export products section
You are searching for specific OCIDs and cannot find them although you can clearly see them on the HomeRoots site with inventory.
The reason is that some OCIDs are not available for export due to restrictions of the distribution of the products. These restrictions are lifted from time to time so please come back in several weeks and retry.
Not seeing any categories to map in the Shopify Settings Page
This issue occurs when there are no collections with the collection type of Manual in your Shopify store. Please create at least one and refresh the Shopify Settings page on HomeRoots.
