How to promote my products?

It is more important than ever that you sprinkle in promotional activity where and when you can. 

Promotions are a great way to draw attention to your items and drive incremental sales. There are two ways to participate in promotions:

 

  • We have a promotional calendar that focuses on the main sales driving, national holiday events. If you are limited to what you can spend or how often you can participate, we encourage you to choose from this list as these are the most important times of the year when you will want to be on sale with your deepest discounts to be competitive with other suppliers.
  • In addition to our pre-set events that we hope you can participate in; you can submit your own promotions any time.
  • All promotions are submitted by sku, so it is not a one size fits all. You can promote as few or as many skus as you like, when you want, with whatever % you submit by item. We do not require the entire catalog or categories to go on sale, how much and how many is entirely up to you. It is okay if you run out of inventory during an event as well, as long as you are keeping your inventory up to date!

    How to upload promotions:

    The promotional feed upload is very basic, requiring you to upload your sku, the special sales price, and the dates you would like it to be in effect:

  1. Sample Format: Download the promo file by clicking on “Download Promo Pricing Template format sample”
  2. Upload a New Promo: upload the latest promo file from here.
  3. Promotions Status: from this section, you can navigate and see all promotional activities of the past and future.

Please note that determining the SKUs, discounts and dates is entirely at your discretion.

We Do NOT recommend raising your everyday prices to afford promotions. That is not what this messaging is about. Everyday low pricing to HomeRoots as a wholesaler is still the most important lever you can pull. We recommend taking a promotional stance only when and where you can, understanding that you may not be able to participate.
