How to Upload Your First Products (Data Feed)

It is very important that you save your file as a CSV or TXT file first, do not
rename it as one of those options.

Save only the first worksheet, not the entire file. If you have a spreadsheet with
categories on multiple tabs, you will need to save them one at a time for upload.

a. To upload your first data feed, login to your portal
b. Under Products select "Upload Products in Bulk"
c. Click Choose File to select the file from your system
d. Click Upload Your Product Feed.

e. It is important to pay attention to three key columns after you import your data
feed: Status and Imported. While the Total shows how many items were
processed, Imported shows how many items actually went into our system.
Status will either be a Success [Green], Partial Success [Yellow] or Fail [Red]. You will need to click on status to reveal the row-by-row presentation of Validation Errors to understand
errors preventing product from a successful import.

The columns in the grid represent:

1. Time: the date/time the feed was processed
2. Status: feed was processed successful or that feed failed to
process
3. Total: how many items were processed
4. Imported: out of the total items how many were processed successfully
5. Inserted: how many new records were created
6. Updated: how many records had their data updated
7. Deleted: how many records were deleted. Only applicable when uploading a delete feed
8. Warning: opens up a pop up with the individual items that had warning errors and what they are, but these do not prevent an item from being imported into the database.
9. File type: CSV and TXT files are supported currently
10. Type: Web or FTP Web represent that the feed was uploaded

Importing Data Feeds:

We have improved validation error reporting when importing product data.
You will find a comprehensive and easy to understand list of all the data
issues so they can be addressed quickly.

Exporting Validation Errors- Product Upload

If you receive a “partial success” or “fail” after a data upload, all of your
data validation errors are available in a pop-up window by clicking on the
red or yellow Status box. For easier access to this information, we have
added a feature to export those validation error messages. The row-byrow
explanations will help you fix your data feed in order to achieve that
bright green box with a “success” message!

Import in Process- Product Upload

Some large data feeds take time to be fully imported into the database
and we have added an “in process” tracker so you have visibility on that
process.
